Game drive to Lake Manyara National Park tucked below the majesty of the rift valley wall. This wedge of surprising varied vegetation supports a wealth of wildlife including the famous tree-climbing lions languidly among the acacia branches in the heat of the day. Then Join the hadzabe warriors, armed with bows and arrows, on the morning hunt to enjoy a fascinating glimpse into an ancient way of life.  Before making your way to Serengeti’s magical golden horizon that is transformed into an endless carpet flanked with wildflowers after the rains. You will have a chance to meet Maasai people in their bomas and learn more about their complex and interesting culture before you head back home.

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Int’l Airport

Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to a hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Manyara/ Lake Eyasi

After breakfast, we will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive and have a picnic lunch en route. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, elephants, flamingoes and giraffes. There is also an option to have a cycling tour around the park. In the evening, we will drive to Lake Eyasi for an overnight stay at a campsite.

Day 3: Lake Eyasi / Ngorongoro Conservation Area

We will rise early in the morning to join local Bushmen for hunting until early afternoon. We will travel back to camp for lunch and then make our way to Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight stay at a campsite.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

In the morning, we will make our way to the famous Serengeti National Park, game viewing en route. This is possibly the world’s most famous National Park, (a biosphere reserve and a world heritage site), with an abundance of wildlife including lions, hyenas, topi, impala, gazelles wildebeest, zebras, cheaters, leopards and much more. Serengeti is unique for its annual wildebeest migration which is not found anywhere else on earth. We will have a picnic lunch en route and travel to our campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park

Today we will have a full day game drive at Serengeti. Depending upon the time of the year, visitors can get a clear view of the wildebeest migration and long queues of beasts and predators on the plains. We will drive back at the camp for dinner and overnight

Day 6: Ngorongoro National Park

After breakfast, we will take a picnic lunch and start our game drive towards Ngorongoro. En route, we will visit Maasai bomas (villages) and experience the unique Maasai life in their unspoiled traditions and customs. We will arrive at a campsite for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7 – Empakai Crater / Transfer to Arusha

In the morning, we will drive through Maasai land to Empakai Crater for a half-day hiking trip. In this walking tour, we will have a Maasai guide on hand to take us into the crater where we can get a great view of the Lesser Flamingoes. Here we will have a picnic lunch before the drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight at the hotel.
